FUNAI REGISTRY STAFF UNDERGO PROFICIENCY TRAINING

The Registry Staff of the Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), have been advised to observe the Code of Conduct as contained in the regulatory documents of the University.  He indicated that there will be no incidence of Termination of Appointment or Dismissal of Staff if every staff applies the Code of Conduct while working in the institution.

This hint was dropped by the Head of Unit, Establishment/Junior Staff Matters, Pastor Omaha Ama while delivering his lecture on the topic titled ‘x-ray on the functions of establishment unit’ on Tuesday, 11th July, 2017 at the university’s auditorium at the take-off site.

Pastor Omaha, who doubles as the Secretary to the In-House Training Committee appealed to Establishment officers to take necessary steps to maintain accurate staff data to facilitate quality file management.

Speaking during the workshop, the Registrar of the University, Mrs. Odisa C. Okeke in her lecture titled: ‘work ethics,’ called for excellent service delivery among the Registry staff as such attitude serves panacea for any staff to remain relevant in the University workforce. She expressed satisfaction at the corrigible disposition of the registry staff, citing that staff had quickly adopted the content of the training she delivered recently in the on-going In-House Training.

She noted too that the Registry staffs are factotums whom much is expected from as an engine force of the university in virtually all the offices of the university.

Delivering vote of thanks, on behalf of the participants, Miss Maduka Amarachi of Establishment/Academic Staff Matters Unit thanked the Vice Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba, the Registrar and the University Management for initiating the training and promised that, every participant will put the training into practice in their offices.
