It was a day of joy and thanks giving to God as Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi state, Holy Family Catholic Chaplaincy conducted church service on Sunday 28th July, 2019 (yesterday) to glorify God for successful conclusion of final examinations and send-forth for the final year students. The service which was organized by Nigerian Federation of Catholic Students saw a large turnout of staff and students to witness the memorable service and join in thanking God for his favors.

You will note that AE-FUNAI under the able leadership of Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba as Vice-Chancellor has kept the pace and sustained its commitment to ensuring that the university follow Nigeria Higher Education curriculum and programs to take examination and pass-out in record terms without encumbrances. No wonder AE-FUNAI is rated  best among the 11 Universities founded by the previous administration, 2,979 out of about 28,000 universities ranked in the world and 22nd out of 160 Nigerian Universities ranked in the July 2019 TRANSPARENT WEBOMETRIC RANKING.

Rev. Fr. Peter Agbo, Chaplain, and celebrant, during homily told the out-going students and the congregation that prayer is key to success in all our endeavors, harping that we must be persistent, humble and patient in prayers and reminded the students that they have just concluded a phase in their life to join a more critical one.

The Priest recounted how the chaplaincy worshipped at different corners of the campus till Prof. Nwajiuba, VC, gave them a permanent place to build the chaplaincy. He poured endless encomium on Nwajiuba for encouraging and supporting them to build a house of God on campus, announcing that fund was raised during the recent birthday celebration of Vice-Chancellor on the floor of the new chaplaincy to commence work and promised that the church building will be completed in record time.
